Job Description: The Family Navigator will serve as a direct conduit for families to access needed ECE supports and resources. This role is actively involved in direct communication with families and with social service agencies, and accordingly serves as a warm and approachable link between families and needed resources. This role also requires establishing and/or maintaining community partnerships on behalf of the Social Centers.
Primary Responsibilities
Work directly with families to overcome barriers and support family participation in
multi-sector, wraparound supports, services, and programs
Conduct assessment of current and possible partner programs and available resources in the community
Support the ongoing partnership with the Grantor (Neighborhood Villages) as East Boston Social Centers representative in Neighborhood Villages’ evaluation of programs.
Build and manage list of resources and supports available both on-site and proximate to
center locations
Maintain accurate records of interactions and follow-ups with families
Organize and facilitate workshops and informational sessions for families
Participate in the ECE program’s staff meetings to ensure integration into the program’s infrastructure
Qualifications
Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field, Psychology,
Sociology, or a relevant human services degree
Experience working with families and understanding their diverse needs
Knowledge of community resources and social services
Strong advocacy, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Empathy, patience, and a commitment to supporting families
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $55,000-$60,000 and is based on experience and completed coursework.
