The Bright Minds (OST) program within East Boston Social Centers offers an affordable and trusted option for the children of East Boston to learn, develop, and have fun year-round through engaging and safe OST and summer programming at the Social Centers
Reporting to the Assistant Directors of Bright Minds, the Program Manager plays an essential role in developing, directing, and managing our OST programming for children ages 5 to 14. Primary Responsibilities
In collaboration with the Assistant Directors, helps support OST programmatically, administratively, and with external partners.
Assists with the development and implementation of program curriculum and classroom planning.
Supports program administrative and direct care staff in the classroom as needed.
Provides support and outreach to families regarding events, student attendance, parental concerns, and monthly newsletters.
Helps maintain and organize student and staff files connected to licensing and administrative compliance.
Performs other duties as required by the program Assistant Directors.
Qualifications

Childcare and/or classroom teaching experience required. 3+ years of experience preferred
Strong organization skills, an ability to meet deadlines and work interdependently
A positive attitude and enthusiasm for the job
Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred
Familiarity with child development principles across multiple age groups
Excellent communication skills
Ability to adapt to achieve desired outcomes
Collaborative outreach and experience in local communities (East Boston, Chelsea, Revere) is a plus
Proven ability to work effectively with a diverse multi-stakeholder group—ensuring inclusion and belonging for people from diverse cultural, economic, and professional backgrounds
Experience with programs in the context of complex state and local regulations such as those of Massachusetts’ Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) preferred
Must clear Department of Early Education and Care’s Background Record Checks (i.e., CORI, DCF, etc.)
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of demonstrated experience in an educational setting providing or administering children’s programming, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range for this role is $60,000 - $65,000 annually. We offer comprehensive benefits including health and dental insurance, 403b retirement plan, PTO (vacation, sick and personal days), life/short/long-term disability insurance, childcare assistance, and more.
