Cerlyn Cantave

Director of People and Inclusion

Cerlyn Cantave is the Director of People and Inclusion at the East Boston Social Centers and manages the Human Resources department. She also helps lead our DEIB work with our Board of Directors and staff. Previously, she was the Director of External Relations, leading the work around grant opportunities and fundraising activities as well as cultivating individual donors. 

She has been with EBSC since 2019. 

Cerlyn is also the Engagement, Equity, and Inclusion Associate for Children’s HealthWatch at Boston Medical Center. Prior to joining EBSC, Cerlyn ran the Business Office and Concierge Desk at Susan Bailis Assisted Living, a luxury senior community in the Back Bay. She also managed the Community Center and Volunteer/Intern program at United South End Settlements, the first settlement house in Boston, and managed the evening ESL program at Rosie’s Place, a sanctuary for poor and homeless women. She brings unique expertise to the work of both lived experience as a woman of color from an immigrant family, significant community engagement and program experience as well as deep understanding of the structural forces that shape policy, research, and US society.
