Kimberly Dawson Ohiomoba

Chief Development Officer

Kim Dawson Ohiomoba has been working in the nonprofit sector for over 15 years.  Prior to joining the Social Centers, she served the Boston Public Schools, ZUMIX, and Young Audiences of Massachusetts with the mission of supporting youth, families, and communities to thrive.  Aside from her role at the Social Centers, Kim teaches nonprofit management, grant-writing, and creative entrepreneurship for Berklee College of Music’s Music Business/Management department.  Kim was honored as a Citizen Artist Scholar by the Aspen Ideas Festival and her work has received accolades from the President’s Committee for the Arts and Humanities, the Massachusetts Nonprofit Network, and the Massachusetts Cultural Council.  She previously served on the board of the Neighborhood of Affordable Housing (NOAH) and the advisory committee for the Pao Arts Center in Chinatown. Her undergraduate studies were conducted at Boston University and she holds a master's degree from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education.

As East Boston residents since 2009, Kim and her husband Osa are proud parents of daughters Eliana and Leora.
