Marie Bossi

UPK Quality Manager

I have been working in the field of early childhood education for 38 years. I have enjoyed many positions, assistant teacher, teacher, lead teacher, education coordinator, education supervisor, executive director and now UPK Quality Manager. It is an honor to have such a long and fruitful career in my chosen field of early childhood education. I have seen first-hand how a quality care and education program can influence and benefit the lives of the children and families in our community.

I grew up in East Boston and attended the Mario Umana Harborside School of Science and Technology, which is now the Umana Academy. Upon graduation, I majored in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Anthropology (subfield, Historical Archaeology) and graduated with a BA from the University of Massachusetts Boston. While attending UMass, I participated in an archaeological dig down in Bourne, Massachusetts. I continued working in the center based early childhood setting when I pursued and graduated with a M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education. I have a certification to teach grades pre-K to 3rd grade.
